| P'kudei Exodus 38:21-40:38 1Kings 7:51-8:21 Mark 16 Tabernacles of Glory Just as if HaShem planned it that way, we come to the end of both Leviticus and Mark in the same week. If we take the time to look we will find some striking similarities in the conclusions of these two books. In Leviticus we read of the construction and details regarding a Tabernacle for HaShem to dwell in. In Mark we read about a Tabernacle HaShem was dwelling in. Both of these Tabernacles held the same message, redemption of mankind. The Tabernacle in the Wilderness was looking forward to the work of the Tabernacle of Yeshua, but without the details of the Tabernacle in Leviticus we can miss what the work of Yeshua really is all about. Let's think about that statement a bit further before we go on. At the time of Yeshua the religious leaders of the day were no longer teaching Torah. They were teaching man’s traditions and opinions of Torah, but not Torah. The people of the day did not have a copy, (or ten copies) of the Torah on their bedside to read at night. They trusted the teachers to tell them what the Torah really said. Because the teachers were not teaching correctly, when the fulfillment of the Tabernacle was standing right in front of them they missed Him. They could not see Him because they did not have an accurate blueprint to go by. The blueprint had been tampered with. The same thing is happening in our day. Because men and women are not teaching the scriptures properly, the people following them are not seeing the real Messiah, but are being set up to follow a false messiah, who is no messiah at all. How can we discern and help others to discern who the true Messiah is today? Let us first go back to the pattern in Exodus. The Tabernacle in The Wilderness lined up perfectly and in every way with each and every word HaShem had revealed. When it was finished, there was not a single deviation caused by mans opinions or ways. Because of this the glory of HaShem filled the Tabernacle in such a way that man could not stand in its presence. In Yeshua the same thing was true. Because His life had been lived according to, and fulfilling, each and every detail of Torah, the Holy Spirit indwelt Him is such a way that no man for over thirty years had been able to stand unchanged by His presence. Each person who was to come in contact with Him during His lifetime would forever be marked as having received Him or rejected Him. This same pattern should hold true today! The pattern of people's lives being changed will hold true today, if today's Tabernacles will decide to live according to His ways and not by man's ways. Take a minute and read the verses of Mark 16:15-18. Now read them again, but this time not so fast. Read them one more time, but this time put your name in the verses. Yes, He was and is speaking to you and to me today, Tabernacles of the Living God. This is the standard for a tabernacle, no matter if it is one of wood, metal and cloth in the wilderness, the tabernacle of flesh Yeshua dwelt in on this earth, or ours today. These tabernacles are all to be filled with and emanate the power and glory of our Creator upon this earth. As we read these verses in Mark this week we should think back to the Hebrews in the Wilderness. Scripture says they walked in miraculous health and provision. At the end of Joshua as they were in the Promised Land there was not a sick person among them. Consider also the time of Yeshua. Do we really think Yeshua was ever concerned about it being flu season? He lived above the circumstances of life because His Tabernacle was filled with the same presence the Tabernacle of Exodus had been filled with. The point I am trying to make is this. The same presence that filled the Tabernacle in the Wilderness, the same glory that filled Yeshua is available to each of us today. It is available for those who will receive the blood atonement of Yeshua to cleanse us from our sin and will then turn to that same execution stake and ask God to crucify man's ways and traditions from our lives. It is available to anyone who will look to the Torah and say, "This is how I will live my life, no compromise!" The last verses of Mark should challenge each of us as we look forward to the Book of Leviticus, which will teach us specifically about His ways and His desires. It will teach us how to be Tabernacles He is not only willing to, but also desirous to, live in: Tabernacles He can indwell is what He deserves to live in – Tabernacles free from the dirt and filth of pagan ways and traditions. He deserves Tabernacles built meticulously to each detail He has laid out so they can in turn be models for others to see what His true glory really is. |
