Counting the Fifty Days of Omer

Immediately following the instructions regarding Passover in the Feasts of the Lord (Leviticus 23), we are instructed to "count fifty days," leading up to Shavuot, also called the Feast of Weeks, Feast of the Harvest, and Pentecost.
Here is one way to "Count the Omer" as a daily, family service. You should, of course, adapt these suggestions to your family and situation. You may print this and the two associated, linked pages for daily use.
Father (or other head of the household) reads or recites:
The Tanakh says, "And you shall count from the morrow after the day of rest, from the day that you brought the Omer of wave offering, seven complete weeks, until the morrow after the seventh week which shall number fifty days."
The whole family says:
This is the [first, second, third, etc.] day of the Omer, making [one, two, etc.] week(s) and [one, two, three, etc.] days of Omer. (Example: "This is the ninth day of the Omer, making one week and two days of Omer.")
Read the appropriate portion from the Psalms from the table.
Record another day on your chart, beginning the day after Passover.
Close with a prayer of your choice or recite the following:
Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the Universe, who has given us commandments to guide us and for us to obey. It is our desire to be obedient to your Torah, knowing it will enable us to live in right relationship with You and with each other.
Thank you for picking us up when we stumble and for sending your Ruach HaKodesh to comfort and guide us."
Then read Psalm 67 each and every day.
