Depart JFK with a direct flight to Ben Gurian Airport, Tel Aviv

Travel to Eshel Hashomron for overnight stay. We will be greeted by Tuvia, Tova and Menachem. After dinner they will share their story of living in the heart of Israel, the place Abraham knew so well as he entered the Promised Land. The place Jacob wrested with God.

After visiting Shiloh, the spot the Tabernacle stood for over three hundred years, we will travel to Mount Carmel, where Elijah called down fire from Heaven, with its magnificent view of the Jezreel Valley, the Valley of Armageddon. We will then continue via Nazareth and Cana to Tiberias, where we will welcome the Shabbat with a traditional Shabbat dinner, blessings and all!

Today we will tour the sites of Yeshua’s ministry the Sea of Galilee, including the three sites of the “”Evangelical Triangle” Korazim, Capernaum, and Bethsaida.We enjoy a traditional Middle Eastern lunch at Migdol, the home of Mary of Magdeline. We will see the famed ancient Galilee Boat from the time of Yeshua, then take a boat ride on the Galilee, (walking on water optional). Then it is a walk to the Arbel Cliff, with its magnificent view of the entire Sea of Galilee region. We will end the day with a visit to the Jordan River at Yardenit. There will be an opportunity for immersion.Our hotel is on the waterfront and located in the downtown area of Tiberias. An evening stroll is just what you need for a good nights sleep. We will spend most of the day in the Golan Heights, learning about the biblical and strategic importance of this beautiful region. We will drive to Gamla for a view of the ancient Jewish city, perched on a rocky promontory, conquered by the Romans at the outset of the Great Revolt, in 67 CE. From here we will continue to the town of Kaztrin, built near the ruins of the ancient Jewish city of the same name. At Kaztrin we watch the multi-media presentation which shows us the importance of this northern region of Israel. Later we will travel to Mount Bental volcanic peak prepared as an IDF frontline position overlooking the cease fire line with Syria. Circumstances permitting, we will be welcomed at a Golan Heights army base today. Overnight in Tiberias

Today we will travel to Jerusalem. A full and exciting itinerary awaits on the way, including a visit to Beit She’an, one of the Decapolis cities. The continuing excavations in this area insure new surprizes.We travel down the Jordan Valley with views of Jericho and Mt. Nebo. A dip in the Dead Sea is quite an adventure, then a climb to the desert oasis of Ein Gedi, where David hid from King Saul. Upon arrival in Jerusalem, we will stop at Mount Scopus, overlooking the city, to greet the city with the traditional blessing. No need to stop now, after dinner we head to Ben Yehuda Street for a time of shopping and meeting new friends.

Our first day in Jerusalem begins with a traditional pilgrim’s view of the city from the Mount of Olives. Then it’s on to the Temple Mount and the Western Wall, as well as the Southern Steps and the Gate Beautiful. A visit to the new and fascinating Davidson Exhibition Center that tells the story of pilgrimage to the city at the time of Yeshua. We will also tour the famous Western Wall Tunnel. We will continue to the Jewish Quarter to visit the Cardo, the Burnt House, and the Broad Wall, dating from the time of King Hezekiah and the Assyrian conquest.

Today we will get to know Jerusalem of First Temple times with a visit to David’s City, including “Jeremiah’s Cistern,” Warren’s Shaft, and the Pool of Siloam. We visit the Temple Mount Institute to learn not only of times past, but plans for the Third Temple. In the afternoon we will visit the Upper Room, King David’s Tomb. We meet Moshe and Dov Kempinsky from Shorashim, who will dialog with us about anything and everything you could want to know about Judaism and life in Israel.

We will explore the sites connected to Yeshua’s time in Jerusalem today, including the Garden of Gethsemane, the Pools of Bethesda, and the traditional Way of the Cross that traverses Jerusalem’s fascinating Old City markets. We will also visit the Garden Tomb, which contains all the elements to help us picture the way Calvary once looked, including an original ancient tomb, a garden, and a skull-shaped hill. We will have time for meditation and breaking of bread in these tranquil surroundings. In the afternoon, we will visit Yad Vashem, Israel’s national Holocaust memorial.

Today is a free day to enjoy shopping, independent sightseeing, and relaxing in Jerusalem. For those interested we will go to the Jerusalem open air market followed by time in the Old City. Special times are always a part of this day.

Today we will visit the fascinating and moving IDF Armored Corps Memorial at Latrun, scene of a famous battle in the 1948 War of Independence. We will then take in Israel’s newest attraction, Mini Israel, which contains some 350 models of Israel’s most important historical, cultural, and natural sites, on a scale of 1:25.
Later, we will visit the Ayalon Institute, to hear the amazing story of this site where ammunition for the 1948 war was secretly manufactured beneath a working kibbutz. We will continue for walk around Jaffa, and our farewell dinner at a local restaurant.
