"To teach the Hebraic perspective of faith in and obedience to the

One True Elohim."

THE 613 COMMANDMENTS (MITZVOT)

Their are 613 commandments are found in Torah. Some are positive (you shall), while others are negative (you shall not). Using the word "negative" is a bit misleading. I do not personally consider not stealing to be a negative, but thats just me.

Our relationship with Almighty God comes to us by his grace through faith, ot by the observance of any commandment. On the other hand, as redeemed children of God through Yeshua HaMashiach, we are allowed to obey His commandments (John 14:15) as a new way of life which leads us to freedom and joy. The Torah teaches us how to love God with all of our heart, and our neighbor as ourself.

The instructions listed below may also be broken down into four categories, sacrificial, civil, social and dietary. Not all apply in our day (we have no temple in which to offer sacrifice) and not all apply to every person (we are not all high priests). Let us look for those we can obey and not get hung up on those we can not.
