"To teach the Hebraic perspective of faith in and obedience to the

One True Elohim."

WHAT IS TORAH ANYWAY?

I grew up in a Southern Baptist Church. Through the years, I have been part of Nazarene, Assembly of God and Charismatic Churches. Each church was different, but they all had one statement of doctrine in common, "The Law (Torah) is done away with." Could we have been misled in this?

The first five books of Scripture are known as the Torah. The common used definition "Law" is probably the worst definition possible. A closer definition would be "Instructions for righteous living." My favorite definition is from a Jewish friend in Jerusalem, "Torah is the expressed will of God unto mankind."

A further quote from the book,"Accessing Inner Joy" by Moshe Kempinski:

"The Torah was not given to a perfect people nor was it designed to make them a perfect people. The Torah was designed to make them a holy people that could reveal G-d's name. The Torah would make them into the very language of G-d, and this people would find direction, purpose and comfort in the words that would guide their voyage."

Look through the following verses, then consider the question posed at the end.

TORAH THROUGH SCRIPTURE

Please allow me to ask a question in light of the above verses. Are the instructions of Torah really done away with or have we been tricked into thinking that so as to keep us from Father's heart and blessings?
